1956 Centenary Feast of the Sacred Heart

On November 28, 1956,  the Bureau of Posts issued a set of stamps to commemorate the centenary of the Roman Catholic institution "Feast of the Sacred Heart"  and the National Eucharistic Conference held in Manila from November 28 to December 2, 1956.

The stamp bears a picture of the statue of the Sacred Heart carved out of wood by Dr. Jose Rizal when he was fourteen years old.






A First Day of Issue cachet was not produced by the Bureau of Posts for this issue.
