On April 3-5, 1952, the Third Lions District Convention was held in the City of Baguio. The Bureau of Posts honored the convention later that year with the release of a set of two commemorative stamps on December 15, 1952.
The design features Wright Park also known as the "Pool of Pines" , a shallow rectangular pool of water which faces the Mansion House, Baguio City. The Park was named after Luke E. Wright, Governor General of the Philippines from 1904 to 1906.
